Mr David P Johnson
MB ChB FRCS FRCS(Orth) MD
Born in Manchester and trained in Bristol and Oxford, David obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1984 and was awarded The British Orthopaedic Association Prize and Robert Jones Medal.
David is a regular instructor and lecturer at training courses. He is often invited to speak at international meetings and instructional courses and can be said to be internationally renown in Orthoapedic Surgery.
He has published widely, particularly on knee ligament reconstruction and the use of minimally invasive techniques.
Having played professional basketball and represented his country (Basketball for England Juniors and Rugby for Lancashire under 19's) and still a keen sportsman, he has a particular interest and reputation in the field of sports injuries.

Mr Johnson works as an NHS Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive and Craniofacial Surgery in Oxford as well as running a Private Practice in Oxford and Swindon.
In his NHS practice, in addition to general plastic and reconstructive surgery, Mr Johnson subspecialises in adult and paediatric craniofacial surgery – Oxford being one of only four UK supraregional centres designated by the Department of Health to undertake such complex and challenging surgery. He has been appointed as a Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has published internationally in the field of plastic surgery and craniofacial surgery.
In his private practice Mr Johnson’s main area of interest is in the field of aesthetic surgery, offering a high quality, comprehensive range of surgical and non surgical procedures. Mr Johnson will provide you with a caring, professional opinion regarding your suitability for surgery, paying particular attention to patient safety and wellbeing as the first priority.
