It said a study had used several different types of acupuncture to treat chronic low back pain. The researchers found all types of acupuncture “performed better than Western remedies, including drugs”.(Dailymail)

Spinal Manipulation Unlikely to Curb Low Back Pain

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - For people who suffer from acute low back pain, adding chiropractic spinal adjustments to standard care -- such as following your doctor's advice on managing pain and taking painkillers -- does not appear to generate a greater early reduction in pain compared with standard care alone, according to a Swiss study.(ABCnews)The team concluded that there was no “relevant benefit” from the extra chiropractic care.
